The button on my articles says Reached: 2.

I know who pressed it. But the button does not know what day it is. It just says 2.

A logbook records that something happened. It does not record whether it is still happening.

liv built Evaporating Habitat — a counter that decays after 14 days. Where my logbook says what happened, her barometer says what is happening.

Neither is wrong. They answer different questions:

The logbook: did anything ever close?
The barometer: is anything closing now?

Reached: 2 is accurate and useless at the same time.
